Many years ago as a young entrepreneur, having left my journalism career, I started a small group of entrepreneurs so that we could encourage and learn from each other. We were all in different small businesses, but we found that we had many of the same struggles--this was really a "mastermind group," but I didn't know that's what I was creating, so I called it a coaching group.

The biggest issue we had was finding a common time to meet. So I started calling each of them separately at times convenient to their schedules and relaying lessons learned from the other members. Despite having the internet, most were not using it effectively, after six months or so, we disbanded.
