Every goal requires action. Big goals require a series of consistent actions. Sometimes people struggle with getting started so today here's a tip that I have found to be useful in getting my clients started and continuously moving toward their goals.
Take 10 minutes a day and do one or more actions towards moving your goal forward. It may be to write three things that you need to do that week or make phone calls to potential partners or brainstorm marketing ideas.
Just 10 minutes a day will provide consistency and will keep your creative ideas flowing. So the same way that trainers encourage those who want to get fit to do some type of physical exercise for 30 minutes a day, I'm encouraging you to exercise your most important muscle, your brain, for 10 minutes a day. All highly successful people practice a routine for at least 10 minutes a day. You can even do the same activity for 10 minutes daily, like listening to motivational podcast or video. Lately, I've been listening to Earl Nightingale or Napoleon Hill. Just 10 minutes a day, gives me the ideas and fuel to accomplish each goal.
